A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after a crash with a car in Glasgow this morning.
Police say they were called to a smash between a car and a bicycle on Aikenhead Road in the city at around 6.40am on Tuesday, February 20.
999 crews raced to the scene and a man, who was the cyclist, was taken to hospital for treatment.
We previously reported that cops taped off the road and were seen guarding the area during the incident.
Following it, police have confirmed the cyclist was reported in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.40am on Tuesday, 20 February, 2024, we were called to a report of a road crash involving a car and a bicycle on Aikenhead Road near to Calder Street, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended, and a man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the incident."
