A Michelin-star Glasgow chef has been nominated for a major award.
Lorna McNee, head chef at Cail Bruich on Great Western Road, has been named as a finalist in the Chef of the Year Award at the Scottish Excellence Awards.
The chef at the Great Western Road eatery is Scotland's only female cook currently holding the prestigious star.
On top of that, her colleague Lewis MacDonald is up for the Young Chef of the Year Award.
We previously reported last year that Cail Bruich was crowned the Best in Scotland at the AA Hospitality Awards.
Meanwhile, Italian-inspired Celentano's in Cathedral House Hotel in the city has been nominated in the Restaurant Newcomer category in the awards.
The eatery is set in a boutique Airbnb built in 1896 as a hostel for women.
Awards’ Advisory Board Chair, Andrea Nicholas, co-founder and Managing Director of Green Tourism, commented: “Judges have had to wade through a remarkable top-class list of entries from many of Scotland’s finest businesses in catering, hospitality and tourism, and selecting finalists has been tough.
"Choosing the winners will be even harder.”
The awards ceremony is set to take place at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh on Thursday, March 21.
