A giant margarita glass has suddenly appeared in Princes Square to mark the two-month countdown to the Glasgow Cocktail Week (GCW).
The glass is a nod to the upcoming National Margarita Day on February 22.
The GCW will take place this year from April 19 to April 28, with a brand new Courtyard bar and events space in Glasgow's Princes Square.
Wristbands are now on sale at www.glasgowcocktailweek.com. A new retail space in Princes Square on the ground floor run by Good Spirits Company is offering 10 per cent off products to all wristband holders.
Katie Moody, centre director at Princes Square, said: "We are delighted to host the first Glasgow Cocktail Week Hub bar and events space, welcoming some of the city's favourite bartenders and brands to Princes Square for an exciting programme of events and bar takeovers.
"Princes Square is a unique place to be and I'm sure our guests will enjoy the opportunity to discover quality cocktails and join experiential masterclasses."
For the first time, GCW's new Princes Square bar will remain open from Thursday to Sunday during the festival.
Cocktail aficionados can enjoy drinks and participate in a range of activities from cocktail masterclasses and whisky tastings, to live music and secret DJ sets.
There will also be events such as espresso martini tasting sessions with Belvedere Vodka and Cross Brew, and a gin and chocolate pairing session hosted by Brockmans Gin.
The festival will also feature a city-wide takeover with more than 40 bars taking part.
New on the list for 2024 are Flight Club Dart's, the soon to be launched Corset Club and The Locale, among others.
Nicola Gemmell Moir, organiser of the GCW, said: "We’re so excited to introduce Glasgow Cocktail Week’s brand new popup bar and events space in the stunning surroundings of Princes Square.
"Whether it’s a make-up masterclass, cocktail tasting or live music, Glasgow Cocktail Week is mixing things up for 2024, pairing your favourite drinks with fun live events for the first time.
"We can’t wait to reveal more from this year’s programme and toast to a city wide takeover this spring."
Tickets for Glasgow Cocktail Week are now on sale at £10, which includes one masterclass and a cocktail at Princes Square as part of the ticket price.
