UPDATE: Traffic Scotland has said all lanes are moving again.
An emergency incident has sparked rush-hour chaos on a busy motorway in Glasgow.
Traffic Scotland has said the northbound carriageway of the M80 at Junction 1 is currently restricted due to a vehicle fire.
999 crews are at the scene dealing with the blaze.
However, the travel firm has said there is 'heavy smoke' in the area which may affect vision for drivers.
It is unknown if anyone has been injured during the incident.
A spokesperson for Transport Scotland said: "M80 - Junction 1.
"Restricted Northbound due to a vehicle fire.
"Emergency services in attendance.
"Heavy smoke in the area affecting vision with a slight build-up on the approach."
Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 7.30am on Thursday, February 23, to reports of a car on fire on the M80 between Provan and Robroyston (J1/J2).
“Operations control mobilised one fire appliance to the scene, where firefighters extinguished the flames.
“No casualties were reported, and the crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
