999 crews raced to a car on fire on a busy motorway in Glasgow this morning.
The incident took place on the M80 between Provan and Robroyston at around 7.30am on Friday, February 23.
Fire crews rushed to the scene, where they extinguished the blaze.
No injuries have been reported following the incident.
During the fire, Traffic Scotland said the northbound carriageway of the road was 'restricted'.
Meanwhile, they also revealed there was a 'heavy smoke' build-up in the area.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 7.30am on Thursday, February 23 to reports of a car on fire on the M80 between Provan and Robroyston (J1/J2).
“Operations control mobilised one fire appliance to the scene, where firefighters extinguished the flames.
“No casualties were reported, and the crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
