A young man has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a bus near Glasgow.
The incident took place on South Circular Road in Coatbridge shortly after 4.30pm on Monday, February 26.
999 crews including police and ambulance then raced to the scene.
Following that, a 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Now, officers have revealed an investigation into the incident is underway.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 4.35pm on Monday, February 26, 2024, police were called to a report of a man having been struck by a bus in South Circular Road, Coatbridge.
“Emergency services attended and a 28-year-old man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
