The head of the giant snake statue at Stockingfield Bridge was revealed today.
The glistening artwork, the centrepiece of the North Glasgow site, is officially finished.
It is covered in thousands of mosaic pieces, depicting patterns, geometric designs and the crest of the city.
Spanning over 121 metres, the rest of The Beithir's body will be covered during an ambitious five-year scheme led by Make It Glasgow.
As a special surprise, there is also a colourful 'world egg' hidden in its mouth.
Curator Nichol Wheatley pulled the cloth off the impressive serpent statue, as he thanked his partners.
He said: "I'm honoured to make this artwork for Maryhill, Ruchill and Gilsochill.
"I am honoured that Scottish Canals have asked us to make it.
"Something this big cannot be made by one person.
"So I have to give thanks to all of the artists and volunteers who helped with this project. It was a huge crew of incredibly talented Scottish people."
He named the mythical snake Bella, after the main character of his mentor Alasdair Gray's novel Poor Things.
