A Glasgow group which encourages people to use sewing as a relaxing hobby and social tool will be conducting workshops at an event this weekend.
Sew Confident has been impacting lives for the past 12 years by using crafts to bring people together.
The group is set to conduct the workshops at The Scottish Quilting Show and The Creative Craft Show at the SEC in Glasgow from March 7 to 9.
Jenny Drew, founder of Sew Confident, said: "For me its more about the social side of things, having a cup of tea together and getting that community connection, that’s why I started Sew Confident as a place for people to connect and learn new skills.
"Research shows that these social connections are important for happiness.
“Sewing has gained popularity and it’s amazing to see a more diverse audience appreciated the ancient craft. Finding a creative hobby that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life can be that easy step towards calm.”
The Scottish Quilting Show is a showcase of patchwork and quilting, with quilting competition entries up on display prizes awarded.
As Scotland’s hub for patchworking, it provides supplies, competitions, workshops and talks.
This year sees the return of an improved VIP Lounge where visitors can rest and enjoy refreshments.
Sew Confident will also offer a free workshop included in the ticket price and a free gift from Vlieseline.
Running concurrently, The Creative Craft Show exhibits knitting, stitching, dressmaking, papercraft demonstrations, jewellery making, and beading.
Attendees will have access to both events under the same ticket.
Craft lovers visiting the Glasgow show can enjoy additional exhibits for the same price.
Early bird ticket price is £9, while on the door ticket price is £12.
Tickets are free for under 16's when accompanied by an adult.
