Police have provided an update after a man was brutally stabbed in a dentist car park during a 'targeted' attack almost one week ago.
We previously reported that 999 crews raced to Bankhouse Dental Care in Airdrie on Wednesday, February 28, following the horror ordeal.
After the shocking incident, a 34-year-old was rushed to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Now, officers have revealed enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
At the time of the attack, the dental practice said: “Bankhouse Dental Care at Airdrie in North Lanarkshire can confirm that a person has been treated and discharged from hospital following a stabbing incident outside the East High Street practice early this morning (Wednesday, February 28)."
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Police Scotland previously said: “Officers are investigating a serious assault incident which took place in the car park of a premises on East High Street, Airdrie, at around 8.40am on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
“A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Officers are treating this as a targeted attack and enquiries remain ongoing.”
