A 'significant' car smash has sparked an emergency response on a major road near Glasgow.
999 crews are currently dealing with an accident on North Carbrain Road in Cumbernauld, it is understood.
It is unclear how many vehicles have been involved in the crash and if anyone has been injured.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that they are in attendance at the incident, however, they can't provide more information currently.
According to a local community group, Cumbernauld Community News on social media, the crash is 'significant'.
Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
