An urgent warning has been issued as a busy motorway in Glasgow is set to be hit with road works.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will undertake essential VRS upgrades on the M8 westbound carriageway at Junction 11 from Sunday, March 10 until Friday, April 6, between 8pm and 6am each night.
The work will be carried out using overnight lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40mph will be in operation.
The scheme is expected to benefit around 89,000 vehicles using the road each day, by improving the safety of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
