The group pulled a similar stunt earlier this week, when they sprayed fire extinguishers of soup at the statues of Queen Victoria and Prine Albert in George Square.
Todays action comes as This Is Rigged is demanding supermarkets slash their prices back to what they were in March 2021. They are also demanding that the Scottish Government install a community food hub for every 500 households across the country, which would ensure that every person has access to three nutritionally adequate meals a day.
Speaking on today's action, one person from the group said: “I think it is ridiculous that people are greedy enough to let others starve. It’s inhumane. There’s plenty of food and far too much greed.”

While another added: “I am taking this action today because I think it is unacceptable for people to go hungry, while the supermarkets profiteer off people's suffering.
"Redistributive action is needed, to show that we won't take the government and supermarkets inaction on the cost of living crisis.”
This is Rigged have vowed to escalate and continue to redistribute food and essential goods until their new demands are met.
They are urging people to join them at www.thisisrigged.org
