The total overnight closure of a major Braehead junction has been announced today.
The M8 Junction 25a of the Westbound off-slip to Braehead will be closed for one month from Wednesday, March 13 until Wednesday, April 12.
It comes due to the installation of security fencing at Junction 26 (Hillington) of the M8.
The work will take place between 8pm and 6am each night.
This scheme is said to benefit those using the route each day, by improving the condition and safety of the area and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
A signed diversion will be in place and will operate as follows: Traffic will be diverted via the M8 Westbound Junction 26 to Hillington Road, Kings Inch Road and Govan Road, where this diversion will end.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
