A busy street in Glasgow was 'cordoned' off by police after an incident yesterday.
Officers say they were made aware of an alleged assault on Muirside Road in the city's Baillieston area at around 3pm on Wednesday, March 6.
During the incident, locals claimed police 'cordoned off' and 'surrounded' the area.
Now, the force has revealed a 60-year-old man and two women aged 49 and 33 were arrested and charged in connection with the situation.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal and the trio are expected to appear in court at a later date.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 60-year-old man, and two women aged 49 and 33, were arrested and charged in connection with an assault which happened in Muirside Road, Glasgow around 3pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
"A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and they are expected to appear at court at a later date.”
