New homes will be built on an abandoned land in Glasgow.
A planning application for a 12-flat development on South Annandale Street, Govanhill, was given the green light by the council.
These will be classed and marketed as "car-free" in order to reduce the use of motor vehicles and promote cycling, walking and public transport.
Currently derelict and used as a fly-tipping site, the land sits near Govanhill Park.

According to plans, the four-storey brick building will blend in with local architecture and will be made up of five two-bed flats and seven three-bed flats.
Papers also state that the land is near nursery, primary and secondary schools, as well as a library, community centre and health centre.
Developer Morris and Spottiswood was given the go-ahead with the condition that work start within three years.
