An urgent warning has been issued as Glasgow's M8 motorway is set to be closed for several weeks.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will complete a package of essential overnight maintenance on the eastbound carriageway of the M8 between Junctions 19 and 15 and the westbound carriageway between Junctions 16 and 18, throughout 2024.
Work on the eastbound carriageway will take place from Sunday, March 17 until Friday, May 10 from 10pm to 6am, each night.
To allow the work to be carried out, overnight closures will be in place, however, a diversion will be set up for drivers.
Meanwhile, the westbound carriageway works will take place from Sunday, March 31 until Friday, May 24, from 10pm to 6am, each night.
Again, these works will be carried out using overnight closures and a signed diversion will be in place for road users.
During the works, motorists are being urged to plan their journeys.
