An 'avoid the area' warning has been issued following an emergency incident near Glasgow.
We previously reported that Police have closed Bridge of Weir Road in Renfrewshire.
Now, officers have revealed they were called to a three-car smash on the road shortly after 7am this morning (Friday, March 8).
999 crews raced to the scene including police, ambulance, and firefighters.
Following that, a man has been rushed to hospital for treatment.
Cops have said the road remains closed between Locher Road and Prieston Road and they have urged drivers to 'avoid the area'.
It comes after we reported locals claimed there were 'lots of emergency vehicles' in the area.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 7.10am on Friday, March 8, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving three cars on the A761 Bridge of Weir Road.
“Emergency services are in attendance and one man has been taken to The Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
“Bridge of Weir Road is closed at Locher Road and Prieston Road and drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
