Five building projects in Glasgow have been shortlisted for the RICS Awards Scotland 2024.

Among the impressive finalists are The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) at University of Strathclyde, Urban Union Laurieston Living, Allander Leisure & Adult Resource Centre, Glasgow Liveable Neighbourhood and AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow.

These have been recognised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) for their outstanding contributions in various sector offering an example of the city's thriving construction industry.

The entries are competing in five categories: Residential Development, Community Benefit, Heritage, Public Sector, and Refurbishment-Revitalisation.

An expert panel will be judging these projects with a particular focus on their innovation, teamwork and success.

Colin Smith, chairperson of the Scotland RICS Awards judging panel, expressed his admiration for the shortlisted entries.

He said: "It is inspiring to see such inspirational projects in Scotland shortlisted for these awards.

"It is a true testament to the dedication of surveying professionals despite challenging times in recent years.

"I wish all of the projects the best of luck."

Companies still have the opportunity to participate in an additional six categories with entries to be judged at a national level.

Submissions remain open until April 26.
