The council has issued an update on a major incident after a road was 'all taped off'.
We previously reported that Gallowgate was closed from the Forge car park to Browns Lane near the Forge cinema in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Glasgow City Council roads department revealed that this was due to an 'ongoing police incident'.
A statement in the Tollcross Matters Community Group said: "Does anyone know what's happened on Gallowgate at the Forge Cinema? All taped off by police."
The roads department has now confirmed that the Gallowgate has reopened and the incident has been cleared.
A bulletin issued at 6.55am reads: "Incident has been cleared and the Gallowgate is open."
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
