An early morning incident outside a Glasgow flat sparked an emergency response.
Cops and firefighters were called to a report of a fire at Kerrycroy Street in the city's Toryglen at 4am today.
Part of the garden and the brickwork of the flat was affected.
The blaze was extinguished and no one was injured.
Detectives believe the fire was started deliberately and they are now investigating the incident.
They are also urging anyone with CCTV which may have captured the attack to get in touch.
Detective Constable Declan Quinn-Thomas said: “We are carrying out enquiries and the fire is being treated as wilful.
“Fortunately no one was injured as the fire was contained outside but brickwork was damaged along with part of the garden.
“As part of our investigation, we are asking anyone in the area with private CCTV to check it and get in touch if there is anything that could assist with our enquiries.
“In addition, if you saw or heard anything suspicious then please also make contact with officers.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0349 of Tuesday, March 19, 2024, or get in touch with Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
