'Lots of emergency service' crews were spotted on a busy street amid an incident yesterday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service say they were called to reports of a person in difficulty in water near Moray Drive in Clarkston.
The incident took place shortly before 12pm on Tuesday, March 19.
In total, two fire trucks, a specialist resource unit, an ambulance, a trauma team, a critical care paramedic, and two special operations response teams were sent to the scene.
Mercy crews then rescued the person from the water.
Following that, they were rushed to hospital for treatment.
During the incident, residents reported there were 'lots of police cars and emergency services' in the area.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 11.57am on Tuesday, March 19, to reports of a person in difficulty in water near Moray Drive, Clarkston.
"Operations control mobilised two appliances and specialist resources to the scene.
“Crews assisted in the removal of the casualty to a position of safety before passing them into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service added: “We received a call at 11.39 on March 19 to attend an incident near Moray Drive, Clarkston.
An ambulance, a trauma team, a critical care paramedic and two special operations response teams (SORT) were dispatched to the scene.
"One patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
