POLICE have provided an update after two large dogs brutally killed a small dog in Glasgow.
We previously reported the incident took place on Finnart Street in the city's East End at around 4.40pm on Monday, March 18.
During the shocking ordeal, a young woman and her Chihuahua were attacked by the two horror hounds.
Tragically, the 25-year-old woman's pooch then died after the altercation.
On top of that, the woman also sustained an injury.
Police said yesterday they believed it was two XL-bully dogs, however, this has yet to be confirmed.
Now, officers are appealing for anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Bobby Fisher said: “We are appealing for anyone with information on this incident, or any local residents with potential video doorbell footage from Finnart Street and the surrounding areas, to please come forward.
“You can contact police on 101, quoting incident 2505 of March 18, 2024.”
Following the attack, we told how residents in the area have expressed their concern over the incident – branding it shocking, terrifying and frightening.
One local said: "I have a wee dog myself.
"The dog owners round here are frightened to go out."
