A patch of unused wooden area in North Glasgow could become a community space and outdoor classroom.
A planning application was submitted to transform the land in Cadder, between the primary school and the canal.
Green Action Trust is proposing to develop the area together with local schoolchildren, who did research on outdoor classrooms.
Pupils would use the facility to climb trees, study insects, pick litter and more.
The space would also include tables, a shelter, lights, walkways and would support the youngsters' education.
The work would also see new footpaths laid down in the woods with entrances from Valia Street and Balmore Road.

If plans are approved, the land would become "a major community greenspace" available for use.
Glasgow City Council planning officials are considering the proposal and a decision is expected by Monday, May 13.
