A Glasgow musician has urged others to get checked following Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis.
The Princess of Wales revealed she was undergoing treatment for cancer which was detected after she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
After the heartbreaking news, Travis frontman Fran Healy voiced his thoughts on the 'tough' revelation from the princess.
He also urged people to get more checks to ensure any cancerous cells are caught early, having got a colonoscopy and endoscopy recently.
Addressing his Twitter followers, Fran wrote: "Tough news about Kate Middleton and anyone getting such serious news. Cancer is no walk in the park. I’ve lost too many to it and also had many friends recovering fully.
"I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy 2 weeks ago. I promised myself after I lost my friend Ringan that I’d do it.
"They took some biopsies from my stomach and oesophagus. Just got results and nothing bad there. Thank god… Anyways… lads and lassies in your 40’s and 50’s get that done. It’s a silent killer."
