A man was mugged by a group of youths at a bus stop in Airdrie.
The 20-year-old was approached at the bus stop on Stirling Road at around 10pm on Sunday, March 24.
One of them, a young boy, took his phone before assaulting him.
The gang then ran off down Stirling Street towards Wellwynd.
Thankfully, the victim did not need to be taken to hospital following the shocking ordeal.
Now officers are investigating the robbery and are urging any witnesses, particularly a woman, to come forward.
The suspect is described as white, around 16 to 18 years old, 5ft 7in tall, with short brown hair and wearing a grey tracksuit.
Detective Constable Lisa McMullen said: “We understand that a woman may have witnessed this incident and we are appealing for her, or anyone else who saw what happened, to please get in touch.
“We would also like to hear from people with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area from Sunday evening which could be of significance.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3726 of Sunday, March 24, 2024.
"Alternatively you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
