First Bus customers in Glasgow should be aware of major changes to its services and ticket prices coming into effect from tomorrow.
From March 31, three of its busy services will increase - including the useful Glasgow Airport route.
The Glasgow Airport Express which runs from the city centre to the airport, will be increased to every ten minutes during the week and every 12 minutes at the weekend.
As well as this, the service 18 – which runs from Holland Street in the city centre, through Rutherglen to East Kilbride – will also increase in frequency to every ten minutes during the week and every 12 minutes on Saturdays.
Finally, service 21 – which runs from Cochrane Street in the city centre - will also see improvements with the route extended in East Kilbride to finish at Eaglesham Road, Gardenhall at Lidl.
The bus firm will also freeze prices on the majority of its fares following an annual review.
For customers purchasing tickets through First Glasgow's Tap On, Tap Off payment method, ticket prices will remain at current rates – including Single Day and Week tickets.
On-board or on-app purchased Two-Trip, Day Ticket Bundle, Week and Four-Week tickets will also stay the same.
There are some increases though, as single, day and month-plus tickets bought on a bus or via the First Bus app will see a below-cost price inflation increase by three per cent from tomorrow.
According to the company, these changes mean customers who typically purchase Single or Day tickets can switch to Tap On, Tap Off as their payment method, and will therefore not see an increase in their ticket price.
