An update has been provided after an 'incident' closed a busy street for several hours.
We previously reported that Main Street in Lennoxtown was shut to all traffic on Monday afternoon (April 1).
It comes after police say they had been called to an alleged disturbance in the area.
During the closure, cops urged locals to 'avoid the area'.
East Dunbartonshire Council said the road was closed at around 2.30pm.
Now, they have since revealed it reopened shortly after 5.15pm on Monday, April 1.
Yesterday, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 11.50am on Monday, April 1, 2024, police were called to the Main Street area of Lennoxtown, following a report of a disturbance."
Police Scotland has now been asked for an update on the incident.
