A man has tragically died after a horror crash on a busy road in Paisley.
The incident took place on Gauze Street at the junction with Silk Street at around 8pm on Monday, April 1.
The crash involved a red Volkswagen Golf, a red Vauxhall Astra and an elderly man on a mobility scooter.
999 crews rushed to the scene and an 88-year-old man, who was riding the mobility scooter, was taken to hospital.
Tragically, the man died a short time later.
No one else was injured during the crash, and the road was closed for around seven hours to allow collision investigation work to take place.

“Our enquiries are ongoing, and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed the crash or who may have information which could assist us to get in touch.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage which could assist us.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 3252 of April 1, 2024."
