A street has been 'taped off' by police after a woman was attacked.
999 crews were seen in the Clydesdale Street area of Hamilton on Tuesday, April 2.
Reports on social media claimed that there was crime scene tape at a lane.
The force revealed that they were called out to a report of an alleged assault.
It is believed that the attack occurred several days ago on Friday, March 29.
An investigation is underway into the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We have received a report of the alleged assault of a woman in the Clydesdale Street area of Hamilton, which is believed to have taken place on the night of Friday, March 29, 2024.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
