A huge new Greggs has officially opened on a busy Glasgow street - creating five new jobs for the area.

The new store is located at 319/321 Byres Road in the city's West End.

Previously, it was based on 259 Byres Road, however, the new shop is a 'larger unit'.

It will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites including sausage rolls, steak bakes, and much more.

On top of that, it will also serve up a range of ice drinks including Cloudy Lemonade and Iced Mocha, which are only available in limited shops across the UK.

The new store is open for takeaway and sit-ins.

It's opening hours are Monday to Saturday 6.30am until 8pm and 7.30am to 6pm on Sunday.

Shop Manager Patricia McMail said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop.

"We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”
