A PUB boss has praised her punters after they raised £1500 for a lifesaving defibrillator.
Margaret Drennan, manager of The Brockburn in Pollok, said her regulars and new customers raised £1500 in just five days to get the equipment installed outside the popular boozer.
“I sure am very proud of them all,” Margaret told the Glasgow Times.
She added: “I’ve got a good group of customers.”
The money was raised through the selling of football cards and large donations from customers.
Margaret added that one of the bands who regularly play at the pub decided to donate their fee for playing to help raise the money needed.

The defibrillator was installed at the end of March, and Margaret says the punters could not be happier.
She continued: “This is something for the community, locals and anybody who may need it.
“It’s great that we have it installed now and that it is for the use of everybody.
“It could save someone’s life, and for that, it is such a good thing.”
The pub’s new addition comes after a massive £340,000 refurbishment earlier this year.
We previously reported the pub was redecorated with an updated bar and lounge area to create a "warm and inviting atmosphere". Outside, the pub has also been given a "vibrant and modern look", including brand-new lighting and signage.

Speaking on the upgrades, Margaret said: “The refurbishment is just so lovely. It feels like a whole new pub.
“Since opening back up again, we are doing really well. We have lots of new customers and some old ones, too.”
When it reopened on February 23, the ribbon was cut by Wee Jimmy, who is Margaret’s oldest customer.
She said: “Wee Jimmy definitely deserves a mention.
“He is 81 years old and is my oldest regular. He is in here all the time, so it was only right he cut the ribbon.”
Wee Jimmy was also at the pub when the defibrillator was installed last month.
Margaret said he was very happy to see the installation and even grabbed a few pictures with the machine.
