A PLAN to turn a former Glasgow care home into a family home and short-term lets has been withdrawn.
As the Glasgow Times reported at the time, a planning application was submitted to the council to convert The Beeches on Langside Drive.
The bid would have seen the building cut into two separate structures.
The bigger was proposed to become a three-storey family home with a formal sitting room, dining room, library, kitchen, utility room, cloakroom, a home office and five bedrooms, one with ensuite, and two bathrooms.
In a separate building, plans included an eight-bedroom apartment with a communal kitchen, dining and living space, for short-term let.

Applicant The Beeches Glasgow Ltd has now withdrawn the paperwork after 52 objections were submitted by residents.
They complained about a lack of information regarding the development.
One local said: "Over several weeks a number of neighbours have raised concerns with the council about the validity of this application.
"The identity of the true owner may or may not have been disclosed nor the nature of the proposed development accurately described."
