UPDATED: North Hanover Street is now open to traffic.
A busy road in the city centre of Glasgow has been locked down.
Cops revealed that North Hanover Street is closed between Cathedral Street and George Square due to wind blowing debris from a building.
They added that contractors are on their way to carry out repair work.
The force announced the news on X, writing: "North Hanover Street has been closed between Cathedral Street and George Square due to wind blowing debris from a building. Contractors are on their way to carry out repair work."
