A MAN threatened nightclub staff after he was "knocked back from the dancing".
Employees were working at the Buff Club on Bath Lane on July 5 last year when James Coyne approached.
The 25-year-old was refused entry as it was after 2am. He became aggressive towards workers and members of the public.
Coyne, of Rutherglen, said "you’re going down”, “you’re going to get the chop” and “everyone is going to wake up stabbed”.
He made gestures in a chopping motion, which alarmed those present.
He then cycled away.
Around 2.33am, police were called. A description was provided and cops viewed CCTV.
Officers traced him, he was removed from his bike and restrained.
Coyne was handcuffed and taken to London Road police station.
He said: “I tried to get into the dancing."

He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week after he pleaded guilty to threatening three staff members and resisting arrest.
Sheriff Allan McKay said: "It’s just stupidity.
"I have sympathy for bar staff they must get this all the time."
Coyne's lawyer replied: "He accepts full responsibility.
"He is in part-time employment."
The sheriff added: "To cause this kind of problem when you get knocked back from the dancing is historic in the city but fully unacceptable."
Coyne was sentenced to 12 months of supervision and ordered to complete 135 hours of unpaid work.
