A TRIO of masked thugs have robbed a pensioner in his home before making off in a plush Audi.
Detectives say the incident took place on Broomfield Avenue in Newton Mearns on Monday, April 8, shortly after 7pm.
During the horror situation, three masked men broke into a 72-year-old man's home.
Following that, the brazen thieves nicked a four-figure sum of cash and a quantity of jewellery.
The gang then made off a short time later in a black Audi A3 or S3.
Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson of Govan Police Station said: “Our enquiries are at an early stage into this robbery to establish more information on the three suspects and the Audi they made off in.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area of Broomfield Avenue on Monday evening who witnessed anything suspicious, or anyone with dash-cam or personal footage to please check back in case they captured anything relevant.
“Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 3421 of April 8.
"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
