UPDATE HERE: Body found at recycling centre
Specialist forensic officers have arrived at the scene of a city recycling centre which mysteriously closed this morning.
Their investigation is centred at Queenslie Recycling Centre in Easterhouse. It is understood that the centre opened as normal at 8 am before it suddenly closed around 9am when police arrived.
Police blocked off access to the recycling centre which is used by the public while Glasgow City Council revealed that it would be closed due to an ongoing police incident.

Several sources at the scene have told The Glasgow Times a body was discovered but no official source has confirmed this.
Local authority workers who operate the site have been sent home while police take control of the apparent crime scene.
