GLASGOW residents are set to benefit from free rides on OVO bikes in the city.
NextBike, which runs the scheme, announced it is providing 20 minutes of free journey time on all pedal bike rentals from Monday until April 30.
The rentals will be made free in support of Earth Day on April 22.
As part of the offer, NextBike is looking to encourage sustainable mobility and active travel.

The free minutes will be automatically added to any ride within the dates.
However, journeys that take longer than 20 minutes will begin to be charged at standard rates.
It comes after we reported the cost of hiring an OVO bike in Glasgow increased on April 5.
Jessica Strangward, regional operations manager at Nextbike, said: “For nearly 55 years Earth Day has acted as a focal point for discussions and action aimed at protecting the environment.
"With this offer, we look to support people’s efforts to improve their local area, improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions in their daily lives.”

James Watts, head of sponsorship for OVO Energy, added: “Spring’s a great opportunity to spend more time outdoors and use alternative modes of transport with a lower carbon output.
"We want to make sure that the OVO bikes are easily accessible so Glasgow commuters can enjoy the ever-improving weather post-winter whilst lowering their carbon footprint.
"We’re particularly excited to bring more awareness to Earth Day - it’s a great opportunity to drive the conversation around looking after our planet, championing positive change and getting more people on the path to zero.”
