HERO paramedics will feature in a hit BBC show this weekend.
The Special Operations Response Team (SORT) based in Johnstone will star in the fifth series of Paramedics on Scene which is due to air this Sunday.
Crew members Stevie Hannah, Pete Anderson, Paul McNab and Nicole Pollock will feature alongside the Scottish Ambulance Services’ North Ambulance Control Centre (ACC).
During the episode, viewers will watch SORT attending to a young woman who has been kicked by a horse, a patient who has suddenly lost sight in one eye and a North ACC call handler guiding someone through CPR until ambulance crews arrive.
Stevie said: “I’ve been in the service for 31 years and try to stick by the same rules – treat every patient like it was your relative and you’ll never go wrong. It’s still the best job in the world.”
Season Five of Paramedics on Scene is on BBC Scotland at 9 am on Sunday and repeated at 8 pm on Tuesday. It is also available on BBC iPlayer.
