Following the situation, cops have since launched a search for the suspects.
Police say two men - who are the suspected culprits - made off towards the Tradeston Bridge (Squiggly Bridge), walking north on York Street onto Argyle Street after the incident.
The pair are described as being white, between 15 and 20 years old, both wearing dark jackets with their hoods up, dark tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.
Now, officers are appealing for anyone with information on the attack to come forward.
They are also looking for drivers who were in the area - with potential dashcam footage - to come forward.
