A new takeaway could open in Cumbernauld Village if a planning application is approved by North Lanarkshire Council.
The council has received an application seeking permission to change the function of a shop in the Main Street, converting it to a hot food takeaway.
Plans submitted alongside the application provide details of planned changes to the building’s interior, which would include a waiting area and small bistro in addition to a kitchen, preparation area and food storage.
