A teenage boy has been left 'extremely upset' after he was mugged by a thug who stole his football top.
The 14-year-old victim was walking along Andrew Drive in Clydebank on Saturday afternoon at around 2pm when the assailant approached him.
He took the boy's top and then made off in the direction of Whitecrook Park.
Thankfully the teen was not injured in the shocking incident.
Officers are now trying to track down the thief who is described as a white male aged around 18 or 19, around 6ft 2in, of medium build with short blond hair.
Detective Constable Rachael Mersey said: “Fortunately the boy was not injured but he was left extremely upset by what happened.
“We are appealing to anyone walking or driving in the area who may have seen what happened to come forward.
“Also, if you have private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then please get in touch.
"Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2044 of Saturday, 27 April 27, 2024."
