Cops in East Dunbartonshire have issued drivers a warning as part of 'Operation Close Pass'.
Officers in the area have been carrying out patrols this week as part of the operation - in which Police Scotland works with Cycling Scotland to support the safe use of shared road space.
The initiative is carried out by officers from the force and is targeted during the summer months when more 'vulnerable road users', such as cyclists, are using the road network.
As part of it, cops in East Dunbartonshire have issued road users a warning.
The force is reminding motorists that not allowing 'sufficient cycle space' - at least 1.5 metres - is an offence, carrying a minimum penalty of three points and a fine.
