A man has been arrested after he was allegedly caught with an axe while walking on the M74 near Glasgow.
Police say they stopped the man walking on the motorway near Larkhall recently.
During a search, officers allegedly recovered an axe that was "hidden within his waistband".
He was arrested and held in custody.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Lanarkshire Road Policing stopped a male walking along the M74 close to Larkhall.
"On searching the male, an axe was recovered which was hidden within his waistband.
"Male arrested and held custody."
