A retail giant has closed its store at a busy retail park.
Argos is no longer trading from its standalone shop at Palace Grounds Retail Park in Hamilton.
The store closed at the end of April as part of plans by Sainsbury's, which owns the brand, to reduce the number of standalone shops.
A spokesperson for Argos said: “As we continue with our plan to transform Argos and offer even more convenient ways to shop with us, we are reducing the number of standalone Argos stores we operate while opening more Argos stores and collection points within Sainsbury’s.
"As part of this plan, we made the difficult decision to close our Hamilton Argos store at the end of April.”

We previously reported that Argos planned to shut 50 stores in the United Kingdom in 2023.
The catalogue retailer was acquired by the supermarket in 2016.
