A plush Glasgow steak restaurant has 'temporarily closed' to undergo a makeover.

Miller & Carter on St Vincent Street in the city centre shut its doors on Monday, May 13 to allow refurbishment works to take place.

The venue - which is known for dishing up steaks - will reopen on Friday, June 7, 2024.

The eatery notified customers of the closure through an email over the weekend.

Glasgow Times:

It said: "We'll be closing our doors on Monday, May 13 for some TLC.

"Don't worry, we will be back on Friday, June 7, serving up the most succulent of steaks."

Meanwhile, a statement on the company's website for their Glasgow location said: "We are now closed for a makeover. We will be opening on Friday, June 7."

The restaurant has other venues across Scotland including in Newton Mearns and Edinburgh.

It comes after we reported a major retailer was set to temporarily close its Glasgow city centre store until the end of the year.

Nike shut its shop on Buchanan Street on Sunday, May 12 - according to a sign on the door of the unit.

The leading clothing brand will reopen its 'new' store on the city's main shopping street in December 2024.
