A woman threatened to slash the throat of someone who complained about her loud TV in the early hours.

Janet Collins was visited at her Ruchazie flat by two police officers at 3am on January 27, 2023, after a noise complaint.

She was watching TV at full volume and the cops asked her to turn it down.

The 48-year-old became aggressive and demanded to know who made the complaint.

She said: “This is bang out.

“I will find them when you’re finished, whoever phoned yous is getting their throat slashed."

Collins continued to shout. Due to her manner and conduct, she was arrested.

She was taken outside by officers, where she continued to be aggressive.

While being put in a cell van, she spat in the direction of one cop, narrowly missing them.

She appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court this week after pleading guilty to screaming, shouting and assault.

Her lawyer said: "She is subject to an order that ends next month.

"She is dealing with addiction issues. She can behave horribly when under the influence. Will your ladyship defer matters to see how her personal life progresses?"

Sheriff Simone Sweeney addressed Collins: "I see that you are now providing care to your father.

"Please, take this opportunity because if you don’t, all sentencing options will remain open."

Sentence was deferred.
