A Glasgow Irish bar has been praised for a kind gesture to the staff of a pub that suddenly closed.
Westwood Bar in East Kilbride announced on Tuesday, May 21 that it would be closing with 'immediate effect' leaving locals gutted.
Following the news, Grace's Irish Sports Bar in the Merchant City has said they may be able to take on some staff if they are struggling to find another job.
They assured their fellow hospitality workers that they were 'in this together'.

A spokesperson said: "Sad news with regards to the Westwood Bar in East Kilbride, which has had to close its doors yesterday for unknown reasons.
"Graces, as a business in hospitality, understand the importance of continuity in employment and staff morale and may be able to accommodate some of the many staff who will find themselves unemployed after this devastating news.
"If we can help you until you find suitable employment in your area we will, just give us a call or an email - remember we are in this together.
"Best of luck in the future to all."
The gesture has since been met with resounding praise from punters who commented on their kindness.
One said: "After everything that has happened to the catering industry it's nice to hear caterers helping each other in times of need."
Another wrote: "Well done Grace’s, a pub like no other."
A third added: "Class Grace's, great gesture hope some can take up the offer."
Westwood did not give a reason for the sudden closure, but they said it was a 'very sad' day during the announcement.
One punter said of the news: "End of an era. Hope someone buys it - great staff, great punters."
Another added: "Terrible news for the staff, the regulars, and the community as a whole."
