UPDATE: Greenfaulds Road in Cumbernauld has now fully reopened.
A busy road in Cumbernauld has been closed after a person has been hit by a car.
Police say Greenfaulds Road in the town has been shut due to a collision involving a pedestrian and vehicle.
The force revealed the incident was reported shortly after 8am this morning (Sunday, May 26).
Currently, it is unclear if anyone has been injured during the crash.
However, cops have said the closure is in place at Locksley Road, Locksley Place, Locksley Avenue and Locksley Crescent.
Drivers are being urged to use an alternative route.
