A homely new gastro pub 'like a second living room' has opened in the heart of Glasgow's Southside.
The Torrisdale Tavern is located in the city's Strathbungo and offers classic pub dishes, small plates, brunch, Sunday roasts and a range of drinks.
Sports fans will get their fix with six large screens and a projector to show all the major games.
Aiming to serve quality food at affordable prices, the venue has 60 covers and has been designed to make punters feel relaxed and comfortable as if they are chilling at home.
A total of 21 staff have been employed.
General manager Gavin Clark said: “We are absolutely delighted to be bringing The Torrisdale Tavern to the Strathbungo area, serving up hearty food, tasty wine and a great selection of beer and cocktails.
“We have worked hard to get the feel just right, right down to the colour of the booths, the food we serve and the beautiful wine glasses to stamp our mark as the newest gastro pub in the area.
"Whether guests are in for a local homely meal, a catch up over a wee drink or looking to try some of our unique beers, we will be everyone’s “second living room” with warm and friendly service and lots of character."
Heading up the kitchen will be head chef Deborah Neilson, who has worked in numerous kitchens over the years.
She said: “I am a local myself and have seen Strathbungo on the rise for many years now.
"Having worked in all different kitchens over the past decade I have been given the opportunity to open my very first kitchen to deliver.
"Over and above our everyday menu we will also be serving brunch from 10am every Saturday and Sunday, a yummy Sunday Roast and a vegan-friendly menu”.
The Torrisdale Tavern is the latest venture for the C&C Restaurant Group. It is open from 12pm from Monday to Friday and from 10am on Saturdays and Sundays.
