Two people have been arrested after an 'incident' in a residential area.
Officers were called to a report of an attempted break-in at a home on Stewarton Terrace in Wishaw just before 6pm on Sunday.
When they arrived, an alleged disturbance broke out.
One man, aged 44, was arrested and charged in connection and a report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man was arrested in connection.
The force is continuing to investigate the alleged incident.
A spokesperson said: "We received a report of an attempted break-in to a property on Stewarton Terrace, around 5.55pm on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
"Officers attended and a subsequent disturbance occurred.
"One man aged 44 has been arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
"A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing."
